A winter storm pummeled the Maritimes over the weekend, claiming the lives of at least two people. A man is believed to have succumbed to carbon monoxide fumes Sunday from a generator used for heat during a power outage and a woman from P.E.I. died after being struck in a parking lot by a snow-removal vehicle.
