A 19-year-old man is in hospital in critical condition after a horrific crash sent him and his car hurtling into a highway overpass in Ohio.
Video taken by a dashboard camera shows the car, a Pontiac Firebird, speeding past a police cruiser on Interstate 675 and suddenly veering left, then hitting a culvert.

Passengers climbed onto the roof to await rescue by firefighters after a bus crashed into an ice-clogged river in northern Nova Scotia - the driver's second such crash in less than a year. RCMP investigators are analyzing the site where an Acadian Lines bus with six people aboard crashed. The bus was heading east on Highway 104 on Saturday evening when it veered off a bridge, went through the guardrail by Exit 37 in Monastery and fell about eight metres into the Tracadie River.
A 28-year-old Toronto woman died Tuesday after being hit by a car whose driver ran a red light and plowed into her as she crossed the street with her baby in a stroller, police said. The accident happened at about 12:45 p.m. as the two crossed from the southwest corner of Martin Grove Road and Eglinton Avenue West to the southeast corner.

RCMP Cpl. Benjamin Robinson is facing charges stemming from a collision with a motorcycle in 2008. Robinson was also one of the officers involved in the fatal confrontation with Robert Dziekanski at Vancouver's airport.

The car is launched in the air before smashing into the concrete pillar of an overpass. Police said the victim was ejected in the crash and the car "disintegrated" into pieces.
No one else was injured in the accident and no other vehicle was involved.
Police said the car was going as fast as 160 km/h at the time of the crash.
"He is very lucky to still be alive at this point," Ohio State Highway Patrol Lieutenant Marty Fellure is reported to have said at the scene.
Police say the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
